The general store owned by Bhatia Family used to open quite early in the morning. Gurucharan Singh, their neighbor, noticed that on the 1st of July, they were unusually late in opening their shop. Around 7:30, when the shop still did not open, he could not resist the urge and then went to check in their house. What he saw was like a bolt from the blue. He literally saw 11 bodies hanging from the iron fences that were a part of the ceiling.
Regaining his senses, he rushed back to inform everyone. Soon a crowd that included neighbors, media reporters, police officials, family members and obviously inquisitive individuals hoarded the locality. Until noon it became national news. The northeastern locality of Delhi claimed a top spot in the drawing discussion of every household in the country. But speculations and conspiracy theories were not enough for the already tarnished image of the Delhi Police force. They needed more. The country needed more.

(Video) Jerunai ‘The Burial Pole’, Culture Practiced By The Melanau People Before
Jerunai is actually one of the historical symbols of the Melanau community. In fact, Jerunai was used as the burial place of the Melanau nobles in the past but it is no longer practiced today. This is because today’s society is more civilized than ancient society. Many people in the Melanau community have fallen victim to the construction of this Jerunai. But this unique story about Jerunai has attracted the interest of many researchers to know more about it.
According to stories told by the residents of Kampung Tellian Mukah, the use of Jerunai was finally eliminated when religious beliefs and also teachings began to take root in Mukah. Other than that, it is also because of the currents of modernity. In Mukah, there are still traces of Jerunai’s history that continue to stand strong in the area of Kampung Tellian Tengah, Mukah. Jerunai is a coffin made for the Melanau nobility. In the town of Dalat, located about 40 kilometers from the city of Mukah, Jerunai can be seen perched in the middle of Taman Poket. Jerunai has a shape of a round pole and is made of belian wood to be durable. The trunk of Jerunai is carved with various motifs and it is usually built on the banks of the river. To accompany the spirits of the dead Melanau nobles, a girl from the slave class will be sacrificed. For the sacrificial ceremony, the chosen girl was tied up on top of Jerunai without food and also drink. They believe that when the girl dies of starvation, her spirit will take care of the master, the nobles who are buried in the Jerunai pit.
According to history, the bodies of the Melanau nobility were not buried in the ground before the advent of Islam hundreds of years ago. Instead, their corpses are kept in coffins until they decompose naturally leaving bones. Then, the bones of the deceased were moved into a hole in the middle of the Jerunai which was about 10 meters high.

Avoid Tailgating Effectively, These Are What You Need To Do
Tailgating is actually the action of a driver driving behind another vehicle while not leaving sufficient distance to stop without causing a deadly collision if the vehicle in front stops suddenly. The safe distance for following another vehicle varies depending on various factors including vehicle speed, weather, visibility, and other road conditions.
Some jurisdictions may require a minimal gap of a specified distance or time interval. When following heavy vehicles or in less than ideal conditions, a longer distance is recommended. Worryingly, the number of cases for the accident happened because of the responsible action of tailgating is increasing. To avoid it, these are what you have to do.
1) Never Be Ego When Driving
The first step to deal with the tailgaters is to maintain your cool. Yes, it can be annoying to see someone constantly driving in the proximity, but acting in the heat of the moment would not help. You need to stay calm and composed and concentrate on your driving skills instead. Maybe if you continue your journey unfazed, the tailgater will eventually take the pass.
2) Stop And Let Go
When it comes to how to avoid tailgating, the best solution is to pull over by the roadside. There can be times when the tailgater is adamant and does not stop to bother you. This is when you need to act smartly and stop by in a safe area. Let the tailgater pass by, and you will be good to go. Remember not to repeat the same with the tailgater as you cannot play brick for a brick game on the road.
3) Keeping Up With Constant Speeds
There is a chance that your inconsistent speed is the reason for someone tailgating you. In simple terms, when you slow down or speed up way too often, it becomes unpredictable for the one traveling behind you. The trick is to maintain a constant speed to prevent cars from tailgating. A steady and stable speed helps the tailgater estimate for safe passing, and that is what they do. With a bit of wisdom, you will be able to address the issue in the finest manner possible.
4) Do Not Annoy The Tailgaters
Everyone likes to stay ahead in the race, but while on the road never follow this principle. Being courteous and kind to the tailgaters will never harm you. There are times when the tailgater flashes the headlights requesting you to make a pass. This is when you need to have a larger heart and acknowledge their plea. If space allows it and everything seems fine, give the green signal to the tailgater to pass.
