Demon Slayer Fans! Get To Know The 7 Strongest Members of The Hashira

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is actually a Japanese anime series. The story follows teenage Tanjiro Kamado, who strives to become a demon slayer after his family was slaughtered and his younger sister Nezuko turned into a demon. It was serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from the month of February 2016 to May 2020, with its chapters collected in all the twenty-three tankōbon volumes. It has been officially published in English by Viz Media.

When talking about the Hashira, it can be known as the nine overall most powerful members and also the combatants in the entirety of the Demon Slayer Corps, and also often regarded as the most skilled swordsmen among all Demon Slayers, protecting them against more dangerous threats that cannot be handled by any other Demon Slayer. Therefore, their existence literally sustains the entire organization. For those who do not know, these are the 7 strongest members of The Hashira.

1) Gyomei Himejima, The Stone Hashira

Gyomei Himejima might not seem like all that powerful a fighter. The fact that he carries the unimpressive title of being the Stone Hashira means that most people won’t really take him all that seriously either. However, these people are bound to be surprised when they find out that Gyomei is actually the strongest Hashira in the entire group. Suffice to say, his destructive power will be an absolute treat to witness in the series.

2) Sanemi Shinazugawa, The Wind Hashira

Most anime viewers don’t really know a ton about Sanemi Shinazugawa. However, his wild look and demeanor should be indicative enough of just how powerful this Hashira really is. This ferocity, coupled with the cutting nature of his Wind Breathing, should make it infinitely clear that Sanemi has a ton of tricks up his sleeve. Hopefully, the anime will give this ferocious fighter the spotlight he deserves.

3) Giyu Tomioka, The Water Hashira

Giyu Tomioka has had the most valuable screen time in the anime as of now. His powers were a treat to behold, and the manner in which he was able to make short work of Rui made it extremely clear that the high-level Hashira was a force to be reckoned with. Given Tanjiro’s talents with Water Breathing, one can certainly expect him to spend a ton of time with Giyu Tomioka as he strives to improve his swordsmanship. Of course, Tanjiro’s real ace in the hole is Hinokami Kagura, and one can only wait and see how this Sun Breathing develops over the course of the anime.

4) Muichiro Tokito, The Mist Hashira

Muichiro is another Hashira whose true potential is yet to be seen in the anime. That being said, manga readers aren’t worried, given his immense power, it won’t take that long for the Mist Hashira to carve out a stellar reputation amongst the fanbase. His mist abilities already sound quite alluring enough as is. Only time will tell whether these powers will be as amazing to witness in the anime as they were in the manga.

5) Mitsuri Kanroji, The Love Hashira

At a glance, the Love Hashira doesn’t really look like a fighter who boasts a ton of raw strength. However, looks can be very deceptive, Mitsuru Kanroji actually boasts one of the highest raw strength levels in the Hashira. Most viewers who are underrating the abilities of this Hashira will be in for a rude awakening when Mitsuri shows precisely how much power she houses in her body. After all, no mere mortal would be able to rip out Muzan’s tentacles with ease.

6) Obanai Iguro, The Serpent Hashira

Picture: Tumblr

The Serpent Hashira hasn’t really got the time to shine in the anime. However, manga readers know precisely how much power Obanai Iguro houses. He’s easily one of the strongest members of the Hashira and can hold his own in a fight against the toughest demons around. One can only wait and see how the anime will do justice and display the massive strength of this character.

7) Shinobu Kocho, The Insect Hashira

Shinobu Kocho is an effective Hashira whose worthy of being the Insect Hashira. That being said, one has to admit that she’s arguably the weakest Hashira when it comes to pure strength. However, brawn is not the only way to determine strength in Demon Slayer. Shinobu’s sharp mind coupled with the effective way in which she wields poisons in battle makes her a force to be reckoned with no matter what.

Background Story of SS Alkimos, The Haunted Ship In Perth!

Since man first sailed the seas, haunted ships have piqued the interest of the human mind. Humans can’t stay away from the sea, despite the hazards that come with it. We’re drawn to the water for a variety of reasons: travel, wealth, and pure curiosity.

Despite this, some seamen have persevered against all odds when confronted with these risks. However, in order to overcome insurmountable odds, you must perform the seemingly impossible. Some journeyed across frigid countries, some traversed the hazardous stretch of the open ocean in a small boat, and yet others were forced to resort to cannibalism–but they all made it.

The ship was built in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1943 as part of the American Liberty ship programme for World War II. It was completed in ten days. It was renamed ‘Viggo Hansteen’ after being reassigned to the Norwegian Shipping and Trade Mission on October 11th.

She served in the Mediterranean for 18 months, crewed by sailors of various nationalities, hauling goods and operating as a troopship in convoys that were frequently attacked by German planes and U-boats. During this time, rumors began to circulate that construction workers had been welded between the ship’s plating during construction, and crew members began to experience paranormal activity on board, all while the ship miraculously avoided U Boat torpedoes as sibling ships were hit and sunk.

In August 1944, while stationed in Naples, Italy, a strange murder-suicide occurred on board a World War II commerce ship. Ms. Maude Steane, a Canadian radio operator, was shot and killed by a Norwegian gunnery officer. Because the crime was so heinous, it was kept hidden from the public eye, with the military claiming Steane was killed by enemy fire. She was the first woman from Toronto to die in the military.

After the war, the two-year-old liberty ship was decommissioned and sold to a Greek shipping business. The Alkimos was renamed once more. The paranormal activity persisted for the next 18 years, until 1963. Various crews came and went, many of whom were horrified by true ghost sightings and terrifying encounters. The ship perished as soon as she was born. She inexplicably ran aground on a windless and dead quiet sea at nightfall in May 1964, without any sort of power or human control. On a submerged limestone reef outcrop, she broke her back and ruptured. As she wailed into her final death throws, the sea flooded within her. The Alkimos were designated as a sunk ship.

Her owners later sold the Alkimos for scrap. In 1969, however, a mystery fire drove salvage workers away from the ruins. During this time, one of the salvage workers also reported hearing eerie noises. Following this period, the ship’s partially dismantled wreckage rested in several meters of water, visible to visitors but slowly deteriorating.

The Alkimos remained a landmark for the following 40 years, rusting away from the incessant hammering of the Indian Ocean. Several salvage crews visited throughout the years, and numerous caretakers lived on board. The Alkimos have been linked to injuries, disappearances, weird sightings, boat engines malfunctioning nearby, and even deaths.

Today, the wreck site is surrounded by the 21st-century metropolis of ‘Alkimos.’ Paranormal activity on the beach near to the remains of the real ghost ship is still being reported to this day.

With strange happenings and allegations troubling the vessel’s past, it’s little surprise it’s been dubbed “jinxed” and “haunted.” The following are some of the more well-known legends about the bad-luck shipwreck:

  • Welders were sealed between hulls during its rapid construction, and their ghosts have plagued the vessel ever since.
  • During the ship’s service, a little puppy appeared in the engine room.
  • A woman working as a caretaker on board suffered a catastrophic fall, culminating in the early birth of a stillborn baby.
  • Hearing footsteps on ladders, cooking odors and noises originating from the kitchen gallery, and tools being handled by invisible hands were all reported by salvage personnel occupying the wreck.
  • After investigating this ship, Jack Wong Sue, author of Ghost of Alkimos, was hospitalized with respiratory illnesses.
  • While stranded, the ship was bought and sold at least eight times, with speculation that the acquisitions were doomed (bankruptcy and life-threatening illnesses).
  • The human skull of Herbert Voigh, a well-known long-distance swimmer who vanished in 1969 while attempting to swim between Cottesloe Beach and Rottnest Island, was discovered near the wreck.

(Video) Discover ‘Brazen Bull’, One of The Worst Torture Device In History!

The human mind has long been capable of concocting new and horrifying ways to punish supposed transgressors, villains, witches, and anybody else who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Unlike these days where punishment is more like being grounded for a week or getting beaten by a cane, punishments in the olden days were literally brutal.

There are different types of punishment that come with different levels of pain and types of execution. One that can be classified as the cruelest is the Brazen Bull method.

They said if you mess with the bull, you get the horns. This Brazen Bull method was invented by the Greeks. Because it was originated in Sicily, this approach was also known as the Sicilian bull. This was a bronze contraption that was shaped and sized like a real bull. The Historical Library consists of many books written by a Greek historian named Diodorus Siculus and in one of these books, Diodorus wrote about the Brazen Bull.

According to Diodorus, Perillos of Athens, the man who invented it, was an inventor by profession. It was reported that he suggested the idea for this bronze bull before constructing it. He can be described as a creative technologist in search of money. He eventually received support from the tyrant of Acragas, Phalaris. This man was known to be extremely vicious, and he enjoyed torturing youngsters to the point of eating them.

How does one perishing?

Picture: Medium

This device is said to be the same size as an original bull but the only difference is that it is made from bronze. with an opening for someone to enter into it. That’s not all. Of course, a tortured person would scream his lungs out. The device was made so that when a person screams, that scream would emerge through deliberately warped pipes installed into the bull, giving the impression of an animal roaring in anguish to onlookers. Because dead people don’t emit pleasant odors, the smoke would escape through the bull’s nostrils, which is filled with incense. After the bones have been burned, they will be utilized to make bracelets.

Once the bull was completed, Phalaris wanted to test it out so he asked the inventor to get in. Most people said that Phalaris pushed the inventor into the bull and burnt him to death for his wicked invention. Others suggested that the inventor was pushed off the cliff. Another theory said that during Phalaris’s downfall, he too was burnt to death in the very device he funded for.

Either way, both the inventor and the funder were killed by their own hands in a way.
